Rick Owens Zipper Pants
Black track-style pants, drawstring waist again with that long natural cord left hanging, but the real detail is the two diagonal zips cutting across the thighs, metal pulls dangling loose off each one. Fabric’s got a slight stretch to it, more technical than the cotton twill pieces, tapering down to zip openings at the ankle too.
Details That Make the Difference
Four zips total, two up top diagonal across the thighs, two more at the ankle cuff that open wide enough to pull over a boot if needed. Everything else stays plain black, no pockets beyond the zip openings, no graphics, so the hardware is doing all the visual work here.
Construction
- Elastic drawstring waist
- Diagonal zip detail, both thighs
- Zip ankle cuffs, wide opening
- Tapered leg, slim through the calf
- Stretch technical fabric
Combination Options
Simple top works best, a Rick Owens Shirt or fitted tee, nothing competing with the zip detail. Layer a Rick Owens Jacket over it for colder days.
The tapered ankle with zip opening suits high-tops well, Rick Owens Ramones or Rick Owens Geobasket both work pulled up over the zip.
Care
- Machine wash cold
- No bleach
- Hang dry, avoid tumble dryer for the stretch fabric
- Low iron if needed, avoid zip hardware directly
- Check zip pulls periodically, don’t force if stuck
