The hood is the whole point of the Wizard Hoodie. It’s cut oversized and peaked, standing up on its own even when it’s not on your head, which is where the name comes from. Everything else the body, the sleeves, the zip sits fairly plain in comparison.
The Hood Itself
Extra fabric here means the hood holds its shape rather than collapsing flat against your neck. Worn up, it covers most of the face from the side. Worn down, it still keeps some structure instead of folding into a normal collar. That’s the main thing separating this from a standard zip hoodie.
Build Details
- Heavyweight cotton fleece, black
- Oversized peaked hood with reinforced structure
- Asymmetric front zip, running off-center
- Long drawstring extending past the hem
- Ribbed cuffs and hem, dropped shoulder seams
How It Wears
The asymmetric zip changes the way this sits compared to a centered one — it pulls slightly to one side when zipped, which is intentional. Layers fine under a coat, or on its own with the hood up as the main statement piece of the outfit. Sizing runs true, so most people stick with their usual size unless they want extra room in the body.
Looking After It
Cotton fleece holds shape best with cold washes and no tumble dryer — heat will shrink the hood’s structure over time. Turn it inside out before washing to protect the zip’s finish. Skip fabric softener, since it flattens the fleece’s texture. Air dry flat rather than on a hanger, so the drawstring and hem don’t stretch out of shape.
