Rick Owens Larry Shirt
Collarless shirt in this glossy, almost wet-look black fabric, catches light hard across the chest and sleeves, way more shine than a regular cotton shirt would have. No collar at all, just a plain band neckline, snap buttons down the front in white plastic-looking studs instead of the usual metal.
What’s Different Here
That shine is really the whole thing. Most Rick Owens shirts stay matte, this one goes the opposite way, coated or laminated fabric that reflects light almost like a rain jacket would. Combined with no collar, it reads more technical than the usual cotton pieces in the shirt lineup.
- Collarless, band neckline
- Snap button front, white studs
- Glossy, high-shine coated fabric
- Long sleeves, loose fit
- Black, lightweight material
How It Wears
Sits loose through the body, doesn’t cling, leaves the top few snaps open in most shots which shows off the neckline shape. Fabric wrinkles fast given how thin and glossy it is, part of the look rather than something to avoid.
Fabric Notes
Feels closer to a technical or rain-shell material than standard shirting cotton, lightweight, likely coated or laminated to get that reflective finish. Not breathable in the way cotton is, more of a statement layer than an everyday basic.
Wear it mostly open over a plain tee, or on its own for something more dressed up. Goes with Rick Owens Pants in matching black leather or a matte fabric so the shine doesn’t clash with anything else too reflective. Full range at rickowenshop.com if you want to build the rest of the look.
Care
- Wipe clean or spot clean where possible
- Avoid machine washing if labeled dry clean only
- No direct heat or ironing on the coated surface
- Hang dry away from direct sun
- Store on a hanger, avoid folding to prevent creasing
