Basic black shorts, elastic waist, drawstring hanging long down the front in that same raw cotton cord color you see across most of the line. Hem’s frayed, not hemmed clean, raw edge left to fray naturally at the bottom of each leg.

The Frayed Hem

That frayed hem’s really the detail that makes these DRKSHDW rather than just a plain gym short, gives them that unfinished, worn-in look the line’s known for. Waistband’s wide and elastic, holds its shape fine even with the drawstring left loose and hanging.

Fabric & Pockets

Side pockets sit low, nothing fancy, just plain slash pockets on both sides. Fabric looks like a heavier cotton, maybe closer to a sweat-material given how it’s sitting in the photo, matte all the way through, thick enough that it’s not sheer or lightweight by any means. Drawstring cord matches the rest of the DRKSHDW pieces, same off-white shade.

Styling It

Throw on a Rick Owens DRKSHDW tee up top to keep the line consistent, or go with a plain Rick Owens Shirt if you want something less matchy. On feet these work well with Rick Owens Vans for something low and casual, or Rick Owens Sneakers if you want a bit more structure underfoot.
