Rick Owens Cargobela Shorts
Zip fly on these, actual metal zip instead of just the usual pull-string, sits a few inches down from the waist with a snap button right under it once the zip stops. Drawstring’s still sitting above it too, same off-white cord as always, hanging longer than it probably needs to.
Two flap pockets down on the thighs, single grommet punched into each one, sits near the top corner instead of dead center. Waistband’s a shade darker than the rest of the fabric, small thing but you notice it once you’re looking.
Hardware
Zip pull’s just plain metal, nothing stamped or branded on it that you can see. Snap sits right below where the zip ends, closes the gap once the zip’s done its job.
What It’s Made Of
Cotton twill, medium weight from the look of it, panels sit pretty flat without a lot of visible creasing going on. That darker waistband might be a different fabric altogether or just a dye batch thing, either way it looks intentional, not like a mistake.
Wearing Them
A plain Rick Owens Hoodie works fine up top, keeps the attention on the zip and pockets instead of competing with anything. Rick Owens Vans are good if you want something low-key on the feet, or Rick Owens Converse if you’d rather something a little more structured.
Care
- Cold machine wash
- No bleach
- Hang dry, better for the zip long term
- Low iron only, keep it away from the grommets
- Wash alone the first time just in case
